Domestic Helpers<\/h2>\n

In Cyprus we have developed our own broader sense for the definition of \u201cdomestic helper\u201d. In most cases this definition is used to refer to individuals who are likely to come from abroad (Nepal, Sri Lanka, India, Vietnam etc.) and want to work as domestic helpers in Cyprus, while residing at their employer\u2019s house.<\/p>\n

Families can rely on domestic helpers for the provision of an important support system for their family members and loved ones. Domestic helpers will receive a salary in return for their services. Furthermore, they will be provided with a room for their accommodation and they will have the opportunity to learn a new language and experience a different culture. Therefore this can be considered a purely beneficial relationship.<\/p>\n

Depending on a family\u2019s range of needs, a domestic helper may take on some or all of the following responsibilities:<\/p>\n
